To provide a boring tool capable of boring to a correct boring depth with a configuration having no gauge.
This boring tool includes a mounting portion 15 to which a boring bit 2 is attached and a calibration tool is attached, a housing which holds the mounting part 15, a distance measurement sensor 14 installed in the housing, a calculation section which is connected to the distance measurement sensor 14 and measures the distance to an object by the distance measurement sensor 14, and the calibration section which calibrates the results of the measurement by the calculation section to a calibrated value and stores the calibrated value in the calculation section. The calibration section performs calibration while the calibration tool attached to the mounting portion 15 is brought into contact with the object to be measured.
