CONSTITUTION: An intermediate buffer device absorbing the paper feed speed difference between first and second printers is provided between the first and second printers and the first printer prints the first surface of continuous paper on the basis of the surface printing data inputted from a host device 13 and the second printer prints the second surface of the continuous paper on the basis of the rear surface printing data inputted from the host device 13. A residence quantity detection part 16 detects the residence quantity of the continuous paper CPP in the intermediate buffer device 15 and a printer control part 12a stops the printing and paper feed by the second printer when the residence quantity becomes a first set value Ll or less and a printer control part 11a stops the paper feed and printing by the first printer when the residence quantity becomes a second set value L2 or more.
