PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling device and an assembling method for automatically assembling a box made by combining plates comprising a bottom plate and a cover plate both being connected with each other by a plate composing the outer portion and a back plate.
SOLUTION: One side plate 18 of a first plate 11 is bent to the outward side of a front plate 16 and a connecting piece 19 on the front end side of the opposite side plate 17 is bent in the same direction as that of a connecting piece 20 on the front end side of a side plate 18. A paste 28 is applied to the outer surfaces of the connecting pieces 19 and 20 by means of a pasting unit 33, and the connecting pieces 19 and 20 as well as the second plate 12 composed of the cover plate 24, the back plate 22 and the bottom plate 23 each being connected with each other are then introduced to the downward side of standing-up guides 57 and 58 of a stack pressure unit. They are then pushed up by a pushing-up bar 65 by means of a pushing-up cylinder 66 whereby the first plate 11 and the second plate 12 are bonded to each other at a position of the connecting pieces 19 and 20 by the weight of the stacked bonded body 70.
