Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a handy type brace for cervical vertebrae which enables the movement of a jaw freely with a split structure of a jaw receiving part.
CONSTITUTION: A lower cervical vertebrae body 1 in which a split chest pad part 4 is provided successively being bent forward via shouldering parts 3 respectively with a specified width from both sides of a back pad part 2 is formed with an upper connecting piece part 5 sticking out between both shouldering parts 3, and an upper cervical vertebrae body 6 in which a split jaw receiving part 9 is provided successively at the tip of side neck receiving parts 8 being bent forward from both sides of a rear head receiving part 7 rising backward is formed with a lower connecting piece part 10 sticking out between both the side neck receiving parts 8, while the upper connecting piece part 5 and the lower connecting piece part 10 are put one upon the other and connected at one point with a link bolt 11. In addition, a pair of turn bucking type adjusting support rods 16 is interposed on both sides of an opposed space between the rear head receiving part 7 and the back pad part 2 facing each other at upper and lower positions. Both the split jaw receiving parts 9 are band clamped with a hook loop type fastener adhesive tape and both the split chest pad parts 4 are also band clamped with a hoop loop type fastener adhesive tape 14. Thus, the jaw receiving part alone can be moved in part simply by removing the adhesive tapes.
