Abstract:
To provide a braid cutter for a shielded electric wire, in which an equipment is reduced in size by simplifying the configuration.
A braid cutter 10 for a shielded electric wire hammers the outer periphery of a braid 44 with a pair of braid opening tabs 32 and 33 to enlarge and open the diameter of the braid 44 for cutting. The cutter 10 has the pair of braid opening tabs 32 and 33 which are substantially "chevron"-shaped recesses 74. By sliding the tabs 32 and 33 in the radial direction of the braid 44, the recesses 74 of the tabs 32 and 33 hammer four points 44A along the outer periphery of the braid 44 to be enlarged, in diameter, and opened.
