To provide a brake and clutch operating mechanism that actuates a brake first and then actuates a clutch when an operating pedal is operatively depressed, in a traveling vehicle whose brake and clutch are operable with one operating pedal.

A brake arm 156 as an operating member for the brake device 120, and a brake pedal 30 are connected via a pedal shaft 117, a brake cam 126 and a brake rod 127, and a clutch arm 48a as an operating member for the clutch (main clutch 47), and the brake pedal 30 are connected via a clutch rod 124, to thus constitute the brake and clutch operating mechanism, in which an elastic element 152 is interposed between the brake rod 127 and the brake arm 156. The brake rod 127 and the clutch rod 124 have respective control parts 127a, 127c and 124a, which are arranged near the brake pedal 30.
