Abstract:
PURPOSE: To optionally set the output characteristic of a master cylinder operated by the oscillation of a brake caliper.
CONSTITUTION: A connecting means C for connecting a brake caliper BcFL pivotally supported to a body by a pin 3 to a master cylinder Ms fixed to the body is formed of a first link 32 having one end pivotally supported to the brake caliper BcFL by a pin 35 and the other end pivotally supported to the input member 10 of the master cylinder Ms by a pin 36; and a second link 34 having one end pivotally supported to the body by a pin 33 and the other end pivotally supported to the middle part of the first link 32 by a pin 37. When the brake caliper BcFL is oscillated in the arrowed direction (a) by the braking reaction received from a brake disc 31, the input member 10 is driven upward through the first link 32 and the second link 34, and the master cylinder Ms generates a secondary brake oil pressure.
