Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device which does not need a force for making a contact member pressure-contact with a wheel, is easy in adjustment for making the contact member contact with the wheel, and can stably impart a friction force.SOLUTION: An upper brake 3 for braking the rotation of a wheel 2 comprises a contact member 31 which makes a curved face-shaped external peripheral face 311 contact with a wheel 2, and a shaft member 32 which is arranged in an eccentric position displaced from a center of the contact member 31, and supports the contact member 31 so as to be turnable. The contact member 31 pressure-contacts with the wheel 2 while rotating from a state of contacting with the wheel 2 by its own weight accompanied by the rotation of the wheel 2 in one direction, a contact part interval C between the shaft member 32 and a contact part 311a which contacts with the wheel 2 is turned and changed, and a friction force imparted to the wheel 2 is also changed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
