PURPOSE: To obtain a branch pipe coupling which is large in resistance against a force in the lateral direction and a bending force and excellent in reliability without losing insertion performance of an original pipe into a fitting by providing a notch in the longitudinal direction at the tip end of a faucet short pipe located on the inner face side of the peripheral edge of the fitting.

CONSTITUTION: At the tip end of a faucet short pipe 12 located at the inner peripheral edge of a fitting 11A of an original pipe 11, a lock part 21 and a longitudinal notch 22 are provided, and a saddle 13 to be brought into contact with the outer face of the original pipe 11 is mounted on the outer peripheral edge of the faucet short pipe 12 located at the outer peripheral edge of the fitting 11A. And a rubber ring 13 is mounted between a short pipe 16 and the fitting 11A, and a rotatable operating ring 15 is provided between a thrust receiving part 18 and the saddle 13. The operating ring is operated so as to adjust the engagement between an irregular engagement part 15A provided at the operating ring 15 and an irregular engagement part 18A provided at the thrust receiving part 18 to lift the engagement part 21 against the original pipe 11 and the saddle 13, and the rubber ring 14 is compressed and deformed to be press-fitted onto the fitting 11A.
