Abstract:
To solve the problems in which: when using a brilliant ink containing silver particles to impart brilliance to an image, sufficient gloss is not obtained if the silver particles have a plate-like shape; and if the silver particles have a sphere-like shape, the gloss is obtained but a tinge of yellow tends to appear.SOLUTION: A brilliant ink has spherical silver particles and flat plate-like silver particles and imparts brilliance to an image formed from chromatic ink or achromatic ink. The spherical silver particles have an average particle size of 100 nm or less, while the flat plate-like silver particles have an average particle size of 150 nm or more and 700 nm or less. The mass ratio between the content of the spherical silver particles and the content of the flat plate-like silver particles is 80:20-20:80.SELECTED DRAWING: None
