Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckling restrained brace that can constitute an anti-slip mechanism so that a gap between a core material and a restraining material may not be increased, without being affected by the ability of a welder.SOLUTION: A buckling restrained brace has a plate-like core material 2 having a joint part joined with a building frame at both ends, and a pair of restraining materials 3 oppositely disposed along both sides of the core material 2. The restraining material 3 comprises a groove-shaped steel 4 opened in the opposite direction with the core material 2, and a concrete material 5 filled in the groove-shaped steel 4. A nonslip projection 11 projected to the side of the restraining material 3 is provided in an intermediate part in the longitudinal direction of the core material 2 by welding at a base end. Cylindrical projection receiving fittings 12 with the nonslip projection 11 fitted and engaged therewith are embedded in the concrete material 5 of the restraining material 3. The concrete material 5 is provided with an escape recess 14 where a welding bead 13 of the base end of the nonslip projection 11 enters therein. The projection receiving fittings 12 are provided in a range of not coming into abutment with the welding bead 13 but coming into abutment with the nonslip projection 11.
