Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buff polishing device which can achieve stabilization of polishing quality and improvement in productivity by preventing the uneven wear of a buff roll in advance.SOLUTION: A buff control device 1 comprises: a holding base 10 for holding a workpiece 100; a shaft 20 disposed vertically movably relative to the holding base 10; buff rolls 31 and 32 mounted on the shaft 20 so as to be adjacent to each other; buff drive motors 41 and 42 for rotating the buff rolls 31 and 32 respectively; buff pressing mechanisms 70 and 80 for pushing the two ends of the shaft 20 individually toward the holding base 10 respectively; ammeters 61 and 62 for detecting the drive current values Iand Iof the buff drive motors 41 and 42, respectively; and a controller 90 for controlling the buff pressing mechanisms 70 and 80 on the basis of the drive current values Iand I. The controller 90 adjusts the pressing forces of the buff pressing mechanisms 70 and 80 so that the drive current values Iand Imay be substantially identical.
