Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a building member which is complex, precise, and excellent in cut-off performance and appearance, by press working, by longitudinally dividing a face cover, and forming a specific depression in a specific portion of a divided body, then squeezing an upper portion of the divided body with a metallic die, to thereby form a fitted portion having a slidable lower portion, and a specific step portion.
SOLUTION: A building member for jointing, which is attached to a joint portion or the like of an external wall panel, is longitudinally divided into plurality of divided bodies 2. A depression 52 for absorbing redundant dimension generated in press working, is formed beforehand at a location where a fitted portion 7 of the divided body 2 is formed. While each divided body 2 is pinched by a clamping die 50, an upper portion of the divided body 2 is squeezed by a squeezing die, to thereby form the fitted portion 7 into which a lower portion of the divided body 2 is slidably fitted, and a step portion 5 on which the lower portion of the divided body 2 abuts. The depression 52 prevents generation of dimensional tolerance due to surplus dimension in press working, and therefore the lower portion of the divided body can be smoothly connected to the fitted portion 7 without a gap and with good appearance.
