Abstract:
To provide a gas generator with a simple structure, easy to assemble, and having positive sealing property (airtightness).
The gas generator for an airbag is provided with a housing constituted from a cylindrical member having an opening end and a lid member for closing the opening end. A calking part bent toward an inner side is formed on the opening end and an area part having an extent for exposing an inner peripheral end of the calking part is ensured at a portion where the calking part positions out of an outer surface of the lid member. The sealing member is provided between the calking part formed on the cylindrical member and the area part secured on the lid member.
