Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the unnecessary biting quantity caused by the thermal expansion of an elastic sheet ring at a time of high temperature by making a metal strip abut on the external periphery of the elastic sheet ring and providing a gap between the metal strip and the internal surface of a body in a valve between of the valve element peripheral edge section and the internal surface of the body of which the elastic sheet ring is provided.
CONSTITUTION: A gap 12 is formed between the external peripheral surface of an elastic sheet ring 11 and the internal peripheral surface of a body 1, and a metal strip 13 is made to abut on the external surface of the sheet ring 11. This metal strip 13 is installed at its ends to the cylindrical sections 1a and 1b of the valve shaft of the body 1 and is fixed to external collars 15a and 15b through coil springs 14a and 14b to restrain an increase in bearing pressure by converting the volume expansion of the sheet ring 11 into the direction to shorten the springs 14a and 14b at a time of high temperature. On the other hand, internal collars 16a and 16b supporting the springs 14a and 14b are made to abut on the peripheral sections 11a and 11b of the holes of the sheet ring 11 through which the valve rod penetrates, improving the sealing action for preventing fluid from leaking from around a valve rod 2 by providing fastening force.
