Abstract:
To provide a CO2 separation device of an internal combustion engine which can efficiently desorb CO2 adsorbed to a CO2 adsorber, and can be flexibly adapted to a requirement, a constriction or the like of an installed exhaust system.SOLUTION: A CO2 separation device of an internal combustion engine comprises: a CO2 adsorber 7 having a plurality of adsorption passages 71 in which exhaust gases flow, and arranged with an adsorption material which can adsorb and desorb CO2 according to a temperature; and a heat exchanger 6 having a plurality of heat exchange passages 61 in which the exhaust gases flow, arranged in a state of being in contact with the CO2 adsorber 7, and heating the CO2 adsorber 7 by transmitting the heat of the exhaust gas to the CO2 adsorber 7 while depriving the heat when the exhaust gases flow in the heat exchange passages 61. Numbers of adsorption cells 72 and numbers of heat exchanger cells 62 per unit area of a cross section C are set so as to become prescribed numbers, and/or sizes of the adsorption cells 72 and sizes of the heat exchanger cells 62 at the cross section C are set so as to become prescribed sizes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
