Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cable connector which can be miniaturized by lowering the height of a connector.
SOLUTION: A cable connector 1 is composed of an insulator 10 into which a flat ribbon cable 3 is inserted, contacts 13, 14 fixed and held to the insulator 10 and an operating element 15 turnably engaged with the pivotal part 13e of the contact 13. When the operating element 15 is turned, the upper surface of the flat ribbon cable 3 is pressed against the outer circumference of the operating element 15, so that the pivotal part 13e and the operating element 15 are respectively elastically deformed and moved upward.
