Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simply attach and detach one of bearing boxes of a calender roll, to accelerate automation of replacing sleeves, and to perform replacing work efficiently with a high degree of safety.
CONSTITUTION: In a calender machine for forming profile sheets between a calender roll and a replacing calender roll 3, there are provided a slide base 24 which is mounted to a second side frame 16 and moves in a direction normal to an axis C, a bracket 25 which parallelly moves the base 24 in the axial direction outwardly and inwardly, and a moving device 26 and driving device 27 which respectively drive the base 24 and bracket 25. A second bearing box 20 is secured to the bracket 25 of a bearing supporter 23.
