PURPOSE: To enable the correction of the indicated value of a neutron detector generated by the local distortion of neutron flux distribution caused by a neutron absorber so as to enable output control of high accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: The output detecting device 7 of a nuclear reactor 1 is formed of a neutron detector 4 for detecting the reactor output controlled by the local movement of a neutron absorber 3 so as to output a detection signal; an output converting device 8 for converting the detection signal into reactor output to output it; an output correction factor computing unit 13 for outputting the signal of a correction factor corresponding to a position according to the local movement of the neutron absorber 3; and an output correcting device 9 for multiplying the converted reactor output signal by the correction factor signal to output a reactor output signal. The device 7 is also provided with a control rod effective output calibrating device 14 for obtaining the relationship of a reactor output signal correction factor corresponding to the position of the neutron absorber 3 from this position and an actual machine output signal, and a control rod effective correction factor computing unit 13 for computing the correction factor.
