Title:
CALIPER BODY FOR PIN SLIDING VEHICULAR DISC BRAKE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006029550
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a caliper body using a reactive pawl for pushing a friction pad on a reaction portion side in an always stable manner while minimizing the transmission of friction heat to the reactive pawl via the friction pad and the concentration of stress on the outside of the reactive pawl in a disc peripheral direction during braking.

On part of a friction pad abutting face 3j of the reactive pawl 3e, a non-abutting portion is formed which does not abut on the friction pad 6. The non-abutting portion includes recessed grooves 3k, 3k provided at a central portion of the friction pad abutting face 3j in the disc peripheral direction. The recessed groove 3k is formed approximately parallel to a center line L1 connecting a disc rotor center O1 to a piston thrust center O2. It ranges from the disc outer periphery side of a thrust center perpendicular line L2 extending perpendicular to the center line L1 and passing through the piston thrust center O2 beyond the thrust center perpendicular line to a disc inner periphery side.
