To reduce wear of a lifter sliding part without involving increase in cost to secure durability, in a cam drive type fuel pump.
In the cam drive type fuel pump 1A, fuel lead into a pressure chamber 6 with inlet valve 10a and an outlet valve 10b is pressurized and delivered by reciprocation and sliding of a lifter 3A to which a rotating cam 2 is abutted, and the sliding part to which the cam 2 is abutted on a lifter 3A bottom surface side is disposed to the lifter 3A as an abutted member 31 of a different component of a lifter main body 30. By insert molding in which the abutted member 31 is arranged in a molding box in advance when forming the lifter 3A and is integrally molded, the abutted member 31 is formed with its bottom surface exposed to the outside.
