PURPOSE: To provide a compact camera device having both functions of an optical view finder and an electronic view finder.
CONSTITUTION: The state where a view finder is used as the optical view finder can be easily changed over to the electronic view finder in such a manner that a main mirror 53 is up, to shield the light from the side of a photographing lens 50, a pentagonal reflecting mirror 56 is refuged, and a display member 62 is inserted into a finder optical path instead of it. On the other hand, the switching of an optical type/an electronic type can be automatically executed, as well. For instance, the switching to the electronic type from the optical type can automatically be executed by interlocking to the switching to a simulation mode.
