To provide a camera installing plate in a car of an elevator and a camera installing method in the car of the elevator, for enabling a worker to easily install the camera installing plate in the car by one-man work.

The camera installing plates 1a and 1b in the car have a pair of camera fixing parts 9a and 9b exposed to a car upper surface 6 by penetrating through a car wall surface 5 of the car 3 and fixed to the car wall surface 5 in right-left positions of an opening part, and camera installing parts 10a and 10b having a lateral width smaller than a lateral width of the opening part, inserted into the car 3 by passing through the opening part from the car upper surface 6, held by the camera fixing parts 9a and 9b locked on the car wall surface 5 and attached with a camera 4.
