Abstract:
To provide a camera mounting structure for a vehicle that can be installed in a space-saving manner and can strengthen a groove such as a sink suppressing groove.SOLUTION: The camera mounting structure has a support member 11 fixed to a vehicle, a camera 20 mounted on the vehicle, and a mounting portion 22 for mounting the camera 20 on the support member 11. The support member 11 has a camera opening 13, a recessed groove 17 formed in an inside surface 11F and at a position outside an opening area of the camera opening 13, and a receiving portion 14 protruded from the inside surface 11F. The recessed groove 17 is formed so that a long-side direction thereof is oriented in a direction along an open edge of the camera opening 13, and has a pair of groove walls 17a, 17a opposite to each other in a short-side direction. The receiving portion 14 has an engaged portion 14a, engaged with an engaging portion 23, and a base end portion 14b located on the side of the inside surface 11F, and the base end portion 14b connects the groove walls 17a, 17a at a longitudinal intermediate portion of the recessed groove 17. Thus, the rigidity of the recessed groove 17 is increased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
