Title:
CAMERA, RANGE FINDER, RANGE-FINDING METHOD OF CAMERA AND RANGE-FINDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004157386
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To satisfy a precision of time lag or focusing by detecting an accurate photographing scene and photographing to select the optimum focusing method in the scene.

The focusing of a photographing lens 16 is performing with an imaging element 17, an A/D conversion part 18, an image processing part 19 and a CPU 11 on the basis of contrast of an image signal of an object 10 obtained through the photographing lens 16. The focus slide of the photographing lens 16 is performed even according to the range-finding result of a range-finding part 14 having a pair of optical systems different from the photographing lens 16. The range-finding part 14 is capable of range finding in a photographing screen by utilizing the image signal, and detects a change in the image signal of the range-finding part 14 during control of the imaging element 17, the A/D conversion part 18 and the image processing part 19 with the CPU 11. When detecting the change in the image signal, selection is performed so as to perform the focusing with the range-finding part 14 or the like.
