Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable appropriate settings of thinness upon non-photographing and a snapshot property upon photographing, depending upon a combination or setting of a lens to be mounted and a camera.SOLUTION: In a camera system (300) adapted to be capable of mounting and demounting a camera (100) having an image pick-up element (102), and an interchangeable lens (200) having a lens barrel (202) via engaging parts (105 and 208), the lens barrel is movable to a first range where a subject can be formed on the image pick-up element, and a second range which is near to the image pick-up element relative to the first range and where a distance from the engaging part to a tip of the interchangeable lens can be shortened. An amount of movement to the second range of the lens barrel is restricted by camera information owned by the camera.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
