The camera is provided with abnormality detection means (various sensors and detection circuits 12, 15, 18, 34, and 36, etc.), which detect the abnormality of camera operation, an abnormality confirmation means (a program incorporated in a control circuit 1) which confirms the abnormality of camera operated detected by the abnormality detection means, and storage means (a RAM and a storage element like a non-volatile memory 37) where information of the camera is stored when the abnormality of camera operation is detected by the abnormality detection means, and an abnormality confirmation operation is executed on a condition based on preliminarily stored information if the abnormality detection means detects the abnormality.
