PURPOSE: To eliminate setting error, and to facilitate the verification of setting by carrying out display of self-timing multiple times by using a self-timing flashing display.

CONSTITUTION: In a case of one-time self-timing, a LED for display is lighted for a time period of T4 in a cycle T3 at a point of time T1, while it is lighted repeately for a period of time T4 in a cycle T5 at a point of time T2 when self release is near at nand, through a normal self-timer, and in a case of two- time self-timing, two-time lighting is repeated for a period of time T6 in a cycle T3, at a point of time T1. Namely, one-time flashing is proceeded without changing the flashing period of one-time self-timing, while two-time flashing is repeated in the case of two-time self-timing. Whether a camera is in a single self-timing mode or in a double self-timing mode is constantly verified from the side of a material to be photographed through high frequency flashing by the flashing cycle of a self-timer starting display, and a display device is no more necessary but for a flashing display device. The verification of setting can thus be facilitated.
