To reduce the weight of a can body to reduce the manufacturing cost by connecting rectangular pipe members or channel steel members to form the can body of a pressure container.
When a can body 1 of a pressure container used for autoclaves, vacuum coolers, etc., is manufactured, rectangular pipe members 2 of rectangular cross-section are arranged-installed at right angles to the front face of the can body 1. Specified bevel parts 2a are formed at the longitudinal corners of the rectangular pipe member 2 made of metallic material, and after the bevel parts are cut to specified dimensions, the bevel parts 2a of the adjacent rectangular pipe members 2 are butted together, and the bevel parts 2a are deposit-welded to join and connect the rectangular pipe members 2 to form a specified can body 1. In this case, in order to connect the rectangular pipe members over the perimeter of the can body 1, holes 2b are formed in the rectangular pipe members 2. Then, a door member provided with an opening and closing device, etc., is loaded on the front face of the can body 1 obtained, while a backplate member provided with a reinforcing member is mounted to the rear face to form a required pressure container.
