Abstract:

To accurately inspect whether or not a cap is correctly attached to a mouth part of a container.SOLUTION: A cap inspection device 1 comprises: a camera 4 for capturing an image of a container 3 with a cap 5 attached thereon from a side; and a control device 7 for determining the quality of the attachment state of the cap 5 on the basis of an image of the cap 5 and the container 3 captured by the camera 4. The control device 7 detects heights H1, H2 of left and right ends of a lower end portion 5Aa of a main body part 5A in the image of the cap 5 captured by the camera 4, and then compares the height positions. If the difference of the height positions exceeds a prescribed determination width, the control device 7 determines that a beret cap (attachment abnormality) has occurred (Figures 2(b) and 2(c)). On the other hand, if the difference of the height positions is within a determination width as a result of comparison of the height positions H1, H2, it is determined that the cap 5 is correctly attached (Figure 2(a)).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
