Abstract:
A structure (10) for the front of a vehicle body is provided with: shock absorption portions (31) forming the front portions of front side frames (11); and beam support members (22) provided to inner walls (43) of the shock absorption portions (31). The shock absorption portions (31) are compressively deformable, and are configured so that the inner walls (43) are stronger than outer walls (51). The beam support members (22) are formed to be capable of facing a front bumper beam (18). The cross-section of the front bumper beam (18) is formed so as to become larger from the left-end portion (18a) towards the centre of the vehicle in the width direction thereof.
