PURPOSE: To reduce the arranging space by arranging a top brush washing the upper face of a car vertically movable up and down along the car upper face without using a swing arm.

CONSTITUTION: A gate-type frame 1 is constituted so as to be capable of reciprocatively travelling on a pair of rails 2 through guide wheels 3, and a pair of guide rails 4 are arranged face to face on both sides of the frame 1. The upper end of each guide rail 4 is fixed to a support member 6 pivotally supported to the frame 1 with a fix pin 5, and the lower end of the guide rail 4 is flexibly supported with a pair of springs 7a, 7b. An action piece 9 is provided at the lower end of the guide rail 4, and it drives a brush moving motor 23 when a limit switch 8a or 8b is activated. A moving bogie 13 supporting the support shaft 12 of a top brush 28 is lifted or lowered along the guide rail 4 through a lift chain 16 by the rotation of the motor 23.
