Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the car body from being partly left unwashed by providing a means for controlling turning of a brush arm by a control means according to an angle of inclination estimated by an inclination angle estimating means.
SOLUTION: In a car washer, when a rotating shaft of an upper surface washing brush reaches the position PJ, it is detected whether the turning position of the upper surface washing brush is above the height HJ for determining whether the upper surface washing brush can follow up the inclined surface to rise or not, which is indicated by a proximity switch of a turning position detecting means of a brush arm. At this time, in the case where the upper surface washing brush is above the height HJ, the car washer judges that the upper surface washing brush can follow in contact with the car body, and forces the upper surface washing brush to continuously follow up in contact with the car body of an automobile A. In the case where the upper surface washing brush is below the height HJ, the car washer judges that the upper surface washing brush can not follow in contact with the car body, and the upper surface washing brush is raised and separated from the car body of the automobile A to be bypassed.
