Abstract:

PURPOSE: To always keep a load on a car washing brush approximately at a constant by following securely also to the delicate irregularities of a body.
CONSTITUTION: A torque detector 20 is provided between a car washing brush 13 and a car washing brush drive means so as to control a car washing brush positioning means 50 according to output signals from the torque detector 20. Also a variation in permeability of a soft magnetic foil 25 which varies according to a load on the car washing brush 13 is detected by detector coils 31a and 31b, and the car washing brush 13 is lifted up and down according to an output voltage difference between both detector coils 31a and 31b so that the difference becomes zero. Thus the load on the car washing brush 13 can be followed rapidly even to a delicate variation in the surface form of a body, and can be always kept at a constant.
