Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To leave an automobile without passing through a device body by providing means for retreating the device body from a waiting position when washing operation is ended and controlling it so that the washed automobile can leave by forward drive.
SOLUTION: When a car washing is executed, and a series of operations is ended, a body 1 is retreated at high speed to the rear end side of a traveling track to prepare for the leaving of the washed automobile. This retreating operation is performed on the basis of a waiting position determined by a protruding piece 14, a retreating distance B is set on the basis of the car length data measured in washing, and the automobile is driven backward from the waiting position by a value B-F obtained by subtracting the distance F from the waiting position to the front end from the retreating distance B. The 'leaving' lamp of a guide light 11 is lighted, and a voice output such as 'Please leave' is given from the voice output part of the body 1 to demand the leaving of the washed automobile. A retreating space according to the size of the washed automobile is thus formed in the front of this automobile so that it can be retreated to the side of the traveling track by forward drive.
