Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wash water from being scattered and adhered to the surface of a photoelectric switch by setting an opening and closing plate in such a manner that it is situated at a right angle to the relative moving direction of a car washing machine body and an automobile when opened, and closes a body detecting device when closed.
SOLUTION: An opening and closing plate 18 is rotatably supported on the inner surface side of a car washing machine body 1 by a rotating shaft 19. The rotating shaft 19 is provided in a position corresponding to the front side of the car washing machine body 1 of the opening and closing plate 18. The opening and closing plate 18 is generally closed so as to cover a photoelectric switch such as projector 17a against the energization of a spring 21 by operating an air cylinder 20 to contract a rod. When the detection of car shape by the photoelectric switch such as projector 17a and the detection of the side surface of an automobile by the opening and closing plate 18 are required, the operation of the air cylinder 20 is released to open the opening and closing plate 18 so as to be right-angled to the traveling direction of the car washing machine body 1 by the energization of the spring 21.
