Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car washing machine, by which an efficient blushing can be carried out by bringing a blush into a sufficient contact with a surface of a car body while avoiding a breakage of a projection due to its interference with the blush by a relatively simple control in which a mode of the movement for avoiding the projection is changed according to its width in the forward and backward directions.
SOLUTION: The car washing machine is provided with a projection detecting means for detecting the projection on the upper surface of a vehicle, and a control means for carrying out a required avoidance movement of the blush for the projection at the position corresponding to the projection based on the detection of the projection by means of the projection detecting means. The control means changes the mode of the avoidance movement according to the width of the projection in the forward and backward directions of the vehicle, the width being detected by means of the projection detecting means.
