Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a shape of an automobile body side surface so that a car wash processor can be suitably controlled relating to an automobile body, by detecting a running distance of a portal car washer frame, and storing a position of a carriage relating to this detected running distance of the car washer frame.
SOLUTION: In a lower part of a car washer frame 1, a position sensor 6 detecting a car washer position is provided, a dog 7 of protruded object fixed to a laying surface of a rail 3 is detected, to be made switching, a position as a running distance of the car washer frame 1 is given to a microcomputer. By a carriage position memory means of the microcomputer, a position of a carriage 17 relating to the car washer frame 1 is stored. In this way, a shape of an automobile body side surface can be accurately detected, based on this detected body shape, a car wash processor of side surface washing brush 9 or the like can be suitably controlled relating to an automobile body.
