Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an unwashed part, and shorten washing time by avoiding an easily damaging part by performing control to make contact an automobile washing brush with a car body with a detecting car shape as a reference and control to follow the car shape by separating it to the necessary minimum according to the brush size so that the brush does not come into contact with the car body.
SOLUTION: This car washing machine detects a car shape from a side surface and a point such as a front position (a), a boundary (b) between a hood part and front glass and a boundary (c) between the front glass and a roof part. When a side pole SP of a projecting material exists on a car body, it is detected as a projecting material in the vicinity of the front position (a), and a distance between a rotary shaft of a rotating washing brush and a detecting car shape is separated by a distance αin a part except for a projecting material part according to the brush size, and is set by separating it by a distance β larger than the distance α in the projecting material part. At the time of avoiding contact of the brush with a car body, a distance between the rotary shaft of the brush and the car body is decided in a position separate by a distance γ regardless of whether it is the projecting material part or not. Brushing can be controlled, and safety is secured, and an unwashed part is reduced, and time can be shortened.
