Title:
CARBRETTER FOR V-ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61145348
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To compact a device and to reduce the number of bendings of an intake air passage, by a method wherein the intake air passages, positioned in reverse direction to each other, are located in a carbretter situated between the banks of a V-engine to integrally form the passages.

CONSTITUTION: A carbretter 1 is situated in a space between banks 4 of a V-engine, intake air passages 3, formed in the carbretter, are positioned in a reverse direction to each other, and the inlet and the outlet of the each intake air passage 3 are coupled to an air cleaner 6 and a suction pipe 5. Since the intake air passages 3 are located in a reverse direction to each other, an air horn part, having a large passage size, is combined with the small part on the downstream side of a venturi, and this enables the one of the two passages to be disposed in the vicinity of the other, resulting in compaction of a device. An intake air pipe 5, connected to the carbretter, can be mounted in an extending manner to each bank by means of a proper bending, and this eliminate an unnatural bending.
