PURPOSE: To provide the card handler with a simple mechanism at low cost for eliminating jamming at a recording medium such as a card and completely returning the recording medium to a user.
CONSTITUTION: An information processing part 12 loads an image reader 14 for reading the recorded information of a card 11 and a magnetic head 13 and when a first stopper 17 is engaged to a tray 10, the information processing part 12 is moved in the direction of an arrow A-A' together with the tray 10 by the rotation of a feeding screw 16 directly connected to a motor 15. When a second stopper 19 locks the terminal part of the card 11, a card 11 loaded on the tray 10 is moved in the direction of the arrow A-A'. Thus, this card handier unloads/collects the card 11.
