PURPOSE: To make possible to handle plural cards by one processing device by dividing a memory area into plural areas in initial setting, designating data to be stored in the area and procedure of data transfer, and thereby transmitting designated data to a calculating center for each area.

CONSTITUTION: The controlling section 11 of a card processing device is constituted of a ROM 11-1, a CPU 11-2, a RAM 11-3 and an input/output circuit 11-4, and the memory area of a storage section 16 is divided in initial setting by operation of a keyboard 15 connected to the circuit 11-4, and at the same time, data to be stored in the divided area and procedure of transmission of the data. Data etc. read by a magnetic card reader 12 are stored in the memory area of the storage section 16 designated by initial setting. Data stored in the storage section 16 are transmitted from a transmitting section 17 to a calculating center designated for each area by designated procedure of transmission under control of the controlling section 11. Thus, plural cards are handled by one processing device.
