PURPOSE: To facilitate management by a method wherein convenience is improved by eliminating the need for carrying a key and charge can be recovered at one place in a locker for rent.

CONSTITUTION: A card wherein price information and ID information have been stored in response to the money received is issued by a card issuing device 1 and the card is inserted into a lock control device 3 to utilize a locker 2. When the locker 2 is empty and when the amount of the balance of the card is larger than basic charge, the device 3 unlocks the locker 2 and stores the ID information of the card. When the locker is occupied and if ID information of the card is in conformity with the stored information and further the balance of the card is larger than the charge for usage, the device 3 unlocks the locker and rewrites the balance of the card. The device 1 obtains the balance due from the recorded information of the card and when the balance has been eliminated by receiving money, the device 1 rewrites the balance to an amount of money having no deficiency to complete adjustment.
