Abstract:
The navigation bridge of a cargo ship is movable fore and aft and is at a height above the weather deck which does not impede the transport and cargo handling operations of the ship. When the ship is underway the bridge is placed at an optimum position for navigation. It can be moved to an aft position immediately adjacent the aft accommodation when cargo handling occurs.
