PURPOSE: To increase the number of containers loaded on an upper deck while reducing the size and weight of a crane by providing rails on cell guides.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of the rails 5 in parallel with the stern-to-bow direction are fixed on the cell guides 1 at appropriate intervals in the direction of the width of the ship. Stand parts 8 are projected downwards from the lower surface of a frame-shaped main body 7 of the crane 6, at positions corresponding to the rails 5. A movable girder 9 is moved in the direction of the width of the ship, and a trolley 10 capable of moving along the girder 9 is fitted at the lower part of the girder 9. Since the rails 5 for the crane 6 are fixed to the top ends of the guide 1, the crane 6 having shorter stand parts 8 can be used so that the size and weight of the crane 6 can be reduced. In addition, since a space for moving the leg parts of the crane is not required on the upper deck, a wider space is available on the deck and the number of the containers to be loaded on board can be increased.
