PURPOSE: To provide prompt cargo return completion without giving hindrance by mounting a rotating element so as to move an object to be conveyed in the forward and backward directions in a sorting area on the way of a conveyer line.

CONSTITUTION: When storing a sorted object to be conveyed in a container 9 or the like through a chute 8 at one conveying device 3 with a plurality of conveying devices 1, 2, 3 disposed according to the number of sorting, the rotating element 4 of the conveying device 3 moves in the opposite direction to the conveying direction. When conveyance to another position is required, the rotating element 4 of the conveying device 3 moves in the forward direction of the object to be conveyed. For using this one, it is thus possible to provide sorting work at a plurality of locations by tagging the object to be conveyed, checking at which area a cargo is discharged before sorting, and moving the rotating element of a desired conveying device.
