PURPOSE: To smoothly perform the loading/unloading of a cartridge by supporting a pair of levers which support each feed roller, so as to swing freely against a chassis, and rotating the feed rollers inversely each other.

CONSTITUTION: When the light of an LED received with a phototransistor 62 is interrupted by the cartridge 20, the feed roller 52 is turned around a point 54 and the feed roller 53 is turned around a point 55 by the command from a control means to abut on both side surfaces of the cartridge 20 in the width direction. At the same time, the feed roller 52 is rotated counterclockwise and the feed roller 53 is rotated clockwise respectively, then the carrying is started so that the cartridge 20 is returned to the original region of a magazine 21. The completion of the carrying of the cartridge 20 to the magazine 21 is detected by the arrival of the light of LED at the phototransistor 62. As the result, the energizing force of the feed rollers 52, 53 to the cartridge side is released, and the rotations of the feed rollers 52, 53 are also stopped.
