Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent generation of recording/reproduction error caused by dust adhering to the surface of a magnetic recording tape by removing dust adhering to the surface of the tape when the tape is running.
CONSTITUTION: Members 54, 56 for cleaning the surface of a magnetic recording tape 6 having a magnetic recording layer, immediately before the tape 6 touches a recording/reproducing head 40 of a recorder/player, are disposed in a cartridge 4. Consequently, the tape 6 can touch the recording/reproducing head 40 with no dust adhering to the surface thereof.
