PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of defective appearance of a case body attributable to reduction of the wall thickness by forming notched parts in a pair of side wall parts of a case, and forming reduced thickness parts corresponding to the notched parts on side edge parts approximately orthogonal to the side wall parts.
SOLUTION: A notched part 10 is formed on a prescribed part of a pair of side wall parts 9 formed on opposite end sides of a bottom surface part 17 of a compact disk storage case 1. A reduced thickness part 24 corresponding to the notched part 10 is formed on a side edge part 16 approximately orthogonal to the side wall parts 9. The reduced thickness part 24 prevents the wall thickness of the side edge part 16 from being larger than the wall thickness of the bottom surface part 17. Shrinkage difference between the side edge part 16 and the bottom surface part 17 is not generated in the forming, and generation of the warp of the bottom surface part 17 attributable to the shrinkage difference can be suppressed. Generation of defective appearance of a case body 2 attributable to reduction in the wall thickness can be prevented thereby.
