To provide a cash management apparatus capable of reducing burdens on the clerks and the manager of a store by making it possible to receive money even after the closure of the store.
The cash management apparatus includes a cash slot for inserting cash, a change storage for storing the cash for change, a cash safe for storing sale proceeds, and an after-closure reception safe for pooling the sale proceeds. The sale proceeds yet to be settled by a closure process are pooled in the after-closure reception safe, whereby even if sale proceeds are put in the cash management apparatus after the closure process, the sale proceeds in the cash safe can be kept at the same amount as that at the time of the closure process.
